In business as in life often we intend circumstances to be created in a “specific way” and then something happens. People have emotional outbursts, plane flight times are delayed, someone tries “to help” and they are not able to complete the task at hand and the situations of “life not working out” go on and on. Sometimes this gains momentum like a snowball going down a hill getting bigger and faster! We humans experience feelings of frustration, fear and unknowingness which can be expressed in a million ways being human in physical form.
Entrepreneurship post-retirement is a path I have intentionally created. I am creating a business and community that is accountable to principles of living a healthy life in a toxic world and being impeccable with their word and deed. I have attempted many objectives on this path including partnerships and co-creative endeavors. I am discovering the “Art of the Pivot” as intentions and opportunities unfold, some have worked out magically and others have been disruptive and chaotic.
Being in multiple growing relationships with new friends during the wisdom years of my life, I am becoming more of a Wise Disruptor and often will have a squeaky perspective on a particular matter. My dear friend jokingly calls it a “time of no filters.” Being bold and truly authentic at this season of life is the calling.
Entrepreneurship requires the ability to see things differently, to remain impeccable with words and deeds to self-first. When we can be loving, trusting, and forgiving to ourselves we can extend the same, with grace, to our fellow human beings.
Resilience is a skill and practice. Often the stories we tell ourselves and others are shaped by trauma past and are not 100% accurate. The stories and beliefs may have served us at one time. It is important to be aware of stuck beliefs and our own “stinking thinking” and assume accountability for our own growth, expansion, and grace.
Changing our own belief means recognizing and challenging the patterns of habitual thinking. Evaluate if the belief is supported by evidence rather than how you feel about it emotionally. Strive to keep emotions neutral. Utilize tools to keep the nervous system calm.
Challenging “stinking thinking” can help you think more flexibly and accurately to view yourself and the world in a more positive light. When you resolve misconceptions about events in the past, you can clear your mind and heart to allow a better way forward.
The “Art of the Pivot” is the ability to be flexible, kind, loving and forgiving to ourselves first and then to see the incorruptible innocence in every person we interact with. My mentor, muse and continued inspiration Louise Hay taught “Mirror Work”. As a powerful creator I am projecting the picture I want to see and each person I see with my five senses is a mirror, a reflection of who I am.
I choose each moment of every day of how to BE. I am resilient, creative, kind, loving, forgiving, amazingly talented and caring! I am a powerful creator as are YOU!
Come join me at The Ministry of the Healing Arts! Let us practice resilience, being impeccable with words and deeds and serve humanity with PLAY and intentional good.
